The Corps Network, through the generous support of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), is providing a funding opportunity for organizations that undertake service projects for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 19, 2009. The Corps Network will fund organizations that plan and implement service projects that mobilize a diverse group of volunteers to address conditions of poverty in the community. The Corps Network will disseminate $80,000 to approximately 25 subgrantees and award amounts will range from $1,000 to $10,000. In accordance with CNCS requirements, at least 30% of these funds will be available to organizations outside of our network.
Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. EDT on September 2, 2008. Notification of awards is expected to be announced by September 8, 2008.
